OPF-G6, DPP is a heavy duty Glock Gen 6 ORS compatible plate for Leupold DPP (Delta Point Pro) and EOTech EFLX series of sights that use the DPP footprint. It has not been tested on other sights that use the DPP footprint, which can vary, we can only guarantee fit and function on DPP and EFLX sights we tested.
Not all DPP footprint sights adhere to Leupold DPP dimensions. Vortex Defender (not CCW) sights are notably looser on OPF-G6, DPP than DPP and EFLX (which more faithfully follows Leupold DPP dimensions). The August batch of OPF-G6, DPP is only compatible with Leupold DPP and EOTech EFLX, the December batch will be compatible with Vortex Defender XT and ST.

For DPP, sights with a front sight height of 0.407" at least is necessary.
For EFLX and Defender, sights with a front sight height of 0.315" works but is very low, 0.350" and 0.385" are recommended.
Glock Gen 6 ORS uses a polymer insert in leu of an adapter plate. OPF-G6, DPP does not. The elasticity meant to provide upward tension from its elasticity also applies to the lugs on the insert.
Our plates have never used or relied on upward tension to keep the plate-to-slide screws from loosening, we successfully use other means for the same end. With MOS, plate-to-slide screws are separate from sight-to-plate. With Gen 6 ORS, it's an insert with lugs, screws go through the RMR and DPP and directly thread into the slide. We don't want lugs to have elasticity or give, when that happens, the load is transferred to the screws, our plate is specifically designed to remove the load transfer to plate-to slide screws.
OPF-G6, DPP has four lugs to support DPP's four lug holes. FCD DPP plates have always had four lugs, it's a bit tricky to do it on the Gen 6 ORS but we've never taken shortcuts, OPF-G6, DPP retains the 4 lug feature.
Gen 6 ORS's optics pocket is a bit shorter than Gen 5 MOS, which makes it impractical to incorporate a full front fence. OPF-G6, DPP has a front fence, it's in two pieces, with the center section omitted. If a continuous fence was put in place, the center most section would be sharp enough to cut because it's so thin. Another way to achieve a full front fence is to raise the plate above the ORS pocket, doing so will increase the DPP's installed height, it isn't a practical solution for DPP footprint sights that are already rather tall.
All OPF-G6 plates are milled in 17-4 stainless steel. 17-4 stainless is an option we've made available on many of our Gen 5 MOS plates for MIL and LE customers, it's standard on FCD Gen 6 ORS compatible plates. We don't believe aluminum is a suitable material for anything that can experience up to 1800G in recoil, especially for sights like P2 and MSP that use a cross bolt. A 1.74oz DPP weighs 163lb in 1500G of recoil. Will 7075 hold up, and to a lesser degree, will the softer 6061 hold up? We're not taking chances with aluminum. 17-4 SS is more expensive to source and time consuming to machine, our way has always been about the best we can muster, not the cheapest.
Gen 6 ORS pocket has a spindle shaped cavity/depression designed to prevent the plates from rotating, shifting longitudinally and laterally. There is also a small, 45 degrees rear locking tab to keep the rear of the plate down. All OPF-G6 plates have a bottom contoured to fit and fill out the spindle cavity, they also have a small relief in the rear to make use and engage the ORS pocket's rear locking tab. When installing OPF-G6 plates, the rear of the plate must be inserted into the rear ORS pocket at an angle, the front of the plate then can be rotated down into the pocket, the same way factory polymer inserts are installed. Glock Gen 6 ORS provides a means to secure the plate in the ORS slide, OPF-G6, DPP plates take full advantage of the tools Glock provides, same reason it has 4 lug lugs, not just 2.
Regarding construction, tolerances and material, our position is rather cut and dry and consistent: we make no compromises and take shortcuts with lesser material. We are aware of the harsh conditions in which our plates have been and are expected to be used, that knowledge reinforces our demand for tight tolerances and choice of material, . OPF-G6 tolerances are tighter than the ORS pocket and "good enough", they're designed and made for harsh demands and hard use.
